Springfield Wins UK’s Best Portable Building Firm Award
Springfield Mobile has been awarded the ‘Best Portable Building Firm – UK’ in the 2016 sustainable building awards from the prestigious Build construction magazine.
The annual Build Awards are dedicated to uncovering and rewarding the very best in technical innovation, design and service from across the worldwide construction and property industries and address all sectors and areas within the wider global construction and property industries.
Awards executive, Kaven Cooper from Build News commented, “There were two dimensions that influenced the judging panel, first was how Springfield manages its supply chain and looks to local suppliers to meet its needs. Second is the actual quality of the end product itself which proves that a sustainable and portable solution can be more effective than a permanent build in many applications.”
Springfield’s managing director Lyndsey Duggan said, “I’m delighted in the decision reached by Build’s judging panel for both the hard work and product innovation over recent years that we’ve put in to be successful.”
One major difference contributing to the sustainability of its modular buildings is that all manufacturing is done on site allowing the firm both to control quality and tailor buildings to the specific needs of its customers across the UK. Education is one of its strongest markets, supplying classrooms for both primary and secondary schools where sustainable credentials make a huge difference. The company has also gained a strong reputation in both the public and private sector where its flexibility in supplying complex three tiered building solutions has been well received.
“Our industry has come on in leaps and bounds over the years and it’s so rewarding to see our sustainable credentials gain this recognition. Modular buildings offer a faster and far less intensive solution than traditional builds without any compromise in quality or functionality,” concludes Duggan.
