CLIENT DETAILS:

Holy Trinity RC is recognised as a very happy, friendly school situated on spacious grounds on the edge of Brierfield with wonderful views of Pendle Hill. It is a thriving Catholic school and a member school of the Romero CAT. The school aims to be a vibrant core in the community and forward-looking in its attitude to education. They invest heavily in human resources, which they believe is the best way to raise achievement and meet the needs of their pupils. All members of staff are fully committed to the school and dedicated to their task of caring for the pupils.

They believe that good behaviour is crucial to maintain the positive and caring ethos of the school, and their priority is to engage children in their learning, whilst helping them develop a positive attitude towards one another and the school.

Holy Trinity R.C. Primary School is rated a “Good” school, where children are encouraged to achieve their full potential. The Headteacher and all the staff are proud of their pupils and consider it a privilege to serve the parish and community by giving children the best possible start in their education.

OVERVIEW:

Holy Trinty RC School required more space for a growing intake, and an existing modular classroom needed replacing to create the space. The school were keen to accept as much help as they could get with the project and were delighted when we offered a full turn-key package, taking care of all building regulations, groundworks, and all utility connections along with the demolition and removal of the existing building.

KEY ISSUES FACED BY CLIENT:

Unfortunately, their original plans had stalled when an alternative supplier’s product proved unacceptable. This clearly created a degree of urgency to the project particularly with installation scheduled for the school’s summer break to avoid the potentially dangerous mix of building work and schoolchildren!

WHAT SPRINGFIELD DID:

Springfield accommodated the quick turnaround required, including demolishing and removing the old module. Once the site was clear, our experience in turnkey projects enabled us to ensure all building regulations were met and the groundworks and utility requirements were managed and scheduled without any drama. Given the earlier disappointment over the building quality, we were also able to provide the peace of mind very much needed by inviting Andrew Simpson from Co-Ordinate UK, the school’s management agent, to visit our production facility to see the modules being constructed. The modules were delivered and installed and situated on the pre-prepared concrete base. The air conditioning, flooring, air testing, and utilities were connected all within the summer holidays.

SUMMARY & KEY BENEFITS:

Holy Trinity RC Primary School now have a brand-new building comprising two classrooms absolutely fit for purpose delivered on time and on budget to accommodate the schoolchildren in a bright and airy space conducive to learning.

WHAT THE CLIENT SAID:

Andrew kindly advised us – “You may wish to know the Head of Property from Salford Diocese visited site today with a delegation from Lancashire County Council (who are funding the project). They were highly complementary of the build, so much so that they have requested your contact details.”
