CLIENT DETAILS:
Peel Hall Primary School – Little Hulton, Salford, Manchester.
Peel Hall is a Primary School that welcomes children at the very start of their school experience providing an Ofsted inspected education rated as “Good”. They promise a shared vision that all staff, children and their families engage fully in purposeful, fun, educational activities in an exclusive environment that is happy, safe and secure. Age range is from nursery & reception class through to year 6.
OVERVIEW:
Peel Hall is a rapidly growing school urgently in need of additional classroom space. They had previously used Springfield for modular classrooms and been delighted with the results. They were obviously keen therefore to have Springfield specified in the tender process. Springfield proved to be the most competitive in the tender process and additionally offered a flexibility of internal & external design not available elsewhere. and we were duly awarded the contract to provide a further 4 units.
KEY ISSUES FACED BY CLIENT:
The school specified a full turnkey option for the project and keen to work with a Company familiar not only with handling all the contacts with external suppliers of services and utilities; electrics, communications, etc. but also capable of managing the groundworks involved in providing a fully completed, ready to go, teaching facility.
WHAT SPRINGFIELD DID:
We met with the school to establish their exact requirements and designed a 4 bay building providing 2 classrooms suitable for 20 children in each classroom along with toilets and fitted kitchen. Production was scheduled to deliver the units during a school holiday to ensure the complete safety of all school children & staff. Our Project Manager handled the production of the building, liaised with all external suppliers of utilities, communications and landscaping ensuring the school management experienced a hassle free installation and provide a perfect environment for the children to learn.
SUMMARY & KEY BENEFITS:
Peel Hall took delivery of a building built exactly to their specifications both inside and out complete with toilets and kitchen rather than having to compromise and accept an off the shelf building. The time saving and avoidance of potential problems associated with school staff having to “manage” the project was invaluable and of course the convenience of manufacturing off-site and delivering during a school holiday provided a peace of mind from a safety perspective.
