CLIENT DETAILS:

The Dean Trust, believes that the acquisition of powerful knowledge and transferable skills, together with experiences that build social and cultural capital, is a fundamental right for all young people.

Their curriculum ambition is to provide all pupils with carefully crafted and sequenced knowledge enhancement and social development experiences, so that they are academically, socially and altruistically equipped to contribute positively to a global community.

As a steadily growing Trust, their curriculum is an ongoing focus of scrutiny and development for their Trust Improvement Groups (curriculum and teaching and learning specialists from across our Trust).

Trust Wigan delivers a traditional education based on good behaviour and respect with a ‘no nonsense’ approach. Underpinning their ambition for high standards is a commitment to an inclusive and caring community of which parents and carers can be proud.

Their aim is to work in partnership with all parents and always pleased to meet to discuss any child’s education. We welcome each child to be part of a school community that will strive to provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment.

The Believe – Achieve – Succeed’ has been embraced by all of the schools within The Dean Trust. We have proved the power of these words with record-breaking examination results and praise in Ofsted inspections.

OVERVIEW:

The need for a suitable site for new Wigan public library was accommodated by land available within the footprint of the Dean Trust school. However, there was a keen desire to ensure the appearance of the building was in keeping with the immediate surroundings and existing school building. Springfield were able to offer a wide choice of external finishes and the Trust selected a merlin grey and cedarwood finish which proved perfect for the job. Extras such as disabled access, automatic doors and energy-efficient lighting were also accommodated as part of our passion for delivering buildings not only fit for purpose but built exactly to client needs.

CLIENTS & COMMENTS:

“From the first point of contact to the day the project was finished (ahead of schedule!) Springfield have been delightful to deal with.  They were the ultimate professionals at all times who communicated with us at every step of the project offering valuable advice and support. Nothing was too much trouble for them.  Not only were they the most competitive supplier who tendered, the quality of our new modular building far exceeded our expectations and it blends beautifully with our school.  We would not hesitate to recommend them.”
