What Is A Prefabricated Building?

Prefabricated buildings consist of factory manufactured components which are transported to and then assembled on-site. They differ to modular buildings in that they are generally complete buildings, rather than individual units.

Prefabricated buildings are traditionally fully fitted with all required utilities and ready for immediate use when delivered and connected to pre-prepared mains supplies on-site.  They are constructed in a much shorter time, which means they cost less, are delivered quicker and cause altogether less disruption to your business.

All buildings are manufactured in our ISO-approved, 40,000 sq. ft. workshop, where our expert craftsmen use the latest techniques to ensure optimum efficiency and quality. Hiring A Prefabricated Building

We offer a bespoke hiring solution for all of our clients. Choosing from either our current stock or, dependent on the length of term, a new, bespoke building, we accommodate a flexible hiring scheme. We offer two primary types of contracts:

  • a client-based contract where you decide on the contract period, anywhere between three months and five years with a rental fee fixed for the duration
  • an open-ended contract with no fixed length

The first time you contact Springfield, you will be appointed a project manager. Your Springfield project manager will match your requirements to available stock and consider a new build if appropriate. Overseeing the development from start to finish, your project manager will manage every aspect of the installation, right up to handing over the keys.

The length of the hiring process is dependent on whether you are hiring a used or a new building: in-stock buildings can be delivered within days, whereas a new, custom building is typically built in six weeks.
