What Is A Jackleg Cabin?
Jackleg cabins are named after the metal structure which form the adjustable legs that support the building. These legs provide the flexibility for the cabin to be placed on uneven surfaces or to be stacked on top of each other, creating multi-storey units. They are a specific type of self-contained portable cabin.

All jackleg cabins are manufactured off-site in our 40,000 sq. ft. workshop in St Helens and can then be transported and delivered in a matter of days.

Hiring A Jackleg Cabin
We offer a bespoke hiring solution for all of our clients. Choosing from either our current stock or, dependent on length of term, a new, bespoke cabin, we accommodate a flexible hiring scheme. We offer two primary types of contracts:
- a client-based contract where you decide on the contract period, anywhere between three months and five years, with a rental fee fixed for its duration
- an open-ended contract with no fixed length

The first time you contact Springfield, you will be appointed a project manager. Your Springfield project manager will match your requirements to available stock and consider a new build if appropriate. Overseeing the development from start to finish, your project manager will manage every aspect of the installation, right up to handing over the keys.

The length of the hiring process is dependent on whether you are hiring a used or a new building: in-stock buildings can be delivered within days, whereas a new, custom building is typically built in six weeks.
